No darkness? Somebody named that little guy perfectly ... even if it just becomes his nickname! We had an old orange cat like that. He got along just fine with the world, "thank you very much," as long as it just let him be. Dogs would run up to him barking their fool heads off, and he'd just sit down and look at them. It always stopped them dead in their tracks, confused as all get-out. He was ever tolerant and completely unimpressed!

Perfect cure for bullies, eh? :highfive:

:lau :gig :lau

OMG!!

Guess we know who’s gonna be in charge once he settles in some LOL

Hm. I think Gracie will still be in charge, she'll just just be a better Gracie. He may be the power behind the throne, though!

The acid test will be if I can unroll aluminum foil without her coming uncorked! :gig

Oh gosh... my sisters dog does the same with foil!! And tries to catch thunder :th... she’s special..

Sunny really sounds amazing.. :)

She is pretty. :p
Thanks, yes HE is, lol. The Kid keeps saying "she," too. He's so small and delicate-looking... MUST be girl, right? Lol

You making me get all misty here! What a great match!
Seriously I mean that. For some special reason kids with needs will let a special dog in where a human is not allowed.
It looks like he is already breaking new ground. :D

Thanks, @21hens-incharge , it's what we are hoping for! :hugsDogs can be trusted. They don't lie, or break confidences or promises. They love unconditionally. A kid needs that. Specially a kid that's spent too many years in foster care. There are no trust issues with a dog. Just joy, pure and simple.

Aaaaand THAT is why I like my dogs so much. :)

I once had a rough Collie named Sammy. I keep trying to remember to call this little guy Sunny, but Sammy keeps popping out. The Kid says he likes Sammy better too. I think sometimes animals let you know what their name is.... yeah, I'm a weirdo, I know.
I agree.
Rascal was called Franco at the shelter....I kept saying Franco, Paco, Marco, Taco, but kept telling him he was such a rascal, so there it was!
