I was wondering about purchasing this product called First Saturday Lime. Has anyone used this and did it work? Don't know if this is where I post this question.

What do you want it for? What do you mean by work?

I didn't find any thing special about, especially for the price. All it is, Ingredients: 0.1% Citric Acid 99.9% Calcite

We use it in the spring down by the creek, as there are low areas where mosquitoes breed. It helps keep the mosquito population down. It's too expensive to use in the coop for mite prevention, plus, I doubt it does as well as DE, so we use FG DE in all the coops.

I use it! I put it in a little metal powdered sugar sifter can thing you know those little metal mugs with the sifter lid for shaking powdered sugar on stuff, I actually just fill it with first Saturday lime and if there's any like wet poop spots or things like that in the coop, I just sprinkle some over it, I don't spread a ton of it out all around the coop because I don't have any bug problems but I mostly use it to keep the smells down and keep things dry, but just a little sprinkle, I don't throw it down on the ground in handfuls like a lot of people on the social media chicken pages do

I use it. It may or may not work for pest control. It certainly didn't prevent our scaly leg mite infestation last year. It's VERY dusty (so mask up while spreading if you appreciate your lungs). That said, I'll still use it over DE, any day.
