We have two turkey eggs that are due today, but pipped yesterday and have been the same way for now 13 hours. I know it can take 24 hours to hatch. . .but still. Should I check on the eggs? Should I help out? Thanks

I generally will enlarge the hole enough to see if I still see blood or not. If there's blood they are still absorbing the yolk, so leave them be. If no blood I will start helping them out slowly freeing their heads and allowing them to kick out when they are ready.

If I enlarge the pip will it dry out and srinkwrap even in the incubator?

Don't know, generally if I have to help them hatch I have to help through the whole hatch, so I pull the membrane off too. Keep the humidity up to keep it from drying out.

Oh. Well one of the babies has a problem. The humidity is at 70 and one baby is srinkwrapped. . .but still has veins. What do I do?

I make sure they can breathe by exposing their beaks, than I wait until there's no more blood than I help out more. I'm no expert though, I've only helped about 5-6 in my hatching career.
