Has spring sprung? The girls are laying in earnest again!

After feeling pretty lucky to find, for the past few months, even a single duck egg in their coop, I found 4 this morning! Only 3 were actually in the coop, though - one rebel decided to lay hers on the wet mud outside, instead. It was still warm when I found it. Hooray for (approaching) spring!!

Yep. That sounds about right. Last winter was the first when my girls stopped laying and I was clueless as to when they would start again. I started a thread on the subject. Turns out it was March 7. I'm in Illinois, and since you're in a little more south, in Kentucky, it was indeed the time. Congratulations! Funny that they all started the same day, though.

I'm still only getting around two-three egg's out of forty birds, so lucky you. I did happen to see a robin the other day so spring can't be that far off.
