Has the fox had our duck?

We lost 3 of our geese to the fox the other day, we thought we had lost a couple of ducks as well but ever so often the missing ducks put in a appearance, we figured they had a nest somewhere but couldn't find it. Last weekend we moved our goats and sheep on to fresh pasture, in the goat house we have a pallet for them to sleep on, so we gave the house a good clean, I lifted the pallet and found a duck nest with 32 eggs in it, as we have long since eaten the male ducks ( they were hurting the chickens) it meant the eggs where infertile, we lifted most of the eggs and binned them but put some fertilised chicken eggs in the nest, we didn't put the pallet back. We went down today and the duck and the eggs have gone, we found some feathers by the fence, its hard for the ducks to get through the fence, so its possible she lost the feathers getting through the fence, so here's my question.

Is it possible she has moved her nest? Is that normal ? Or has the fox had her and the eggs?

Unfortunately it's probably the latter. Ducks can't physically move a nest. They can abandon one, but if they do that they leave the current eggs behind and start fresh somewhere else.
