I have almost driven off the road looking at a cow. I don't watch much television any more, but I used to go nuts at the inaccuracies I saw on television. The old Bonanaza show was one of the worst offenders. On the rare occasions where they showed cattle on the ranch they were dairy beef. With a very few phone calls whoever was in charge of livestock procurement could have found some beef cattle to rent, or even some Longhorns. Then on one show of Family there was a milk goat. Only it was a wether. In the area where Family was filmed there were a lot of 4Hers with dairy goat projects. They could have found a nice doe to borrow in nothing flat. But no, they used a wether. Could have been worse. It could have been a mature buck. Then there was the unforgettable sement of The Incredible Hulk where the soundman, trying to be dramamtic, used a tape of a hog for the vocalizations of a Brahma bull. There was a scene near the beginning of Juraasic Park that about sent me around the bend. The one where the Tyrannasaurus (sp) Rex broke through the side of the truck. I kept yelling that you don't attempt to handle large dangerous animals that way. And then there was the scene where the main characters were gallivanting alongside a herd of large dinosaurs saying they didn't need to worry because they were herbivores. So are Cape Buffalo, but you don't want to get close to them.
