has this happened before ?

my chick was stuck in the feeder I unscrewed the bottle and it popped out it was 100 degree's out side . It looked bad I tried to give it water and cool it off it was to late it died. It happened to a glass feeder so I went and bought a plastic one and the same thing happened again.Do you leave the bottles off while they are chicks. That is the first time it has happened to me.

Aww thats a terrible thing to happen, I use the same feeder and I am going to remove the jar after reading this or maybe I'll just give them the trough kind of feeder. I had a big chicken get its head caught in a crack of a board and it died. Seems chickens and chicks aren't very smart sometimes.

Either leave the jar off, or on the plastic one cut the top off. I had one get stuck in a feeder but I found it in time. I switched to feeding them in a bowl.
