My turner I guess has just stopped working for the past couple days. I started wondering if it was broken when every time I looked in the bator the eggs were in the same spot...dumb I know but I thought it was a coinsidance....because I could still here the turner ticking just eggs werent moving. Luckily my muscovy eggs were only on day 5 of incubation so I hurried and turned them last night and took them out of the turner. Also turned them this morning. Not sure I want to be hand turning for the next 29 days but I emailed GQF and will see what they say. Has this happened to any of you? And what did you do?
Also do you think the eggs will be alright? Think that was enough time for the forming embryo to stick?

Ive had that happened a month ago when my turner stopped. It was making the same ticking sound but the tray was not moving. So hubby took the motor apart and there was the problem, the teeth were worn out.

You may have to get another motor, sorry there is no replacement to be found because it was made in China.

Your eggs will be fine, just replace them into egg cartons or prop your bator on a piece of board to tilt three times a day.

Thanks Ewe...I just hate how all this stuff happens when you are counting on these eggs to hatch lol.

you're welcome. The hatch went fine and no problems when it was "stuck" for three days on the 10th day of incubation. Now with a new motor it was fine and presently incubating Welsummer Bantams, EE bantams and Orp Bantam eggs.

I am not sure if you have the same kind of bator but if the little arm is not in the slot it wont turn. It happened to me. Hope you figure out what is wrong.
