The chick tangled again and died. And now happened to a second chick that was over a week old, perfectly healthy and running around and tangled around the neck.
Do I trim the feathers on the mums? Will they still be able to keep the chicks warm. I can take the chicks away and put them in the brooder box but she’s being such a good mum in all the other ways and the chicks seem happier with a mum than when I incubate. But obviously not totally safe.
