hat is the best way to take off rooster spurs?

I dont know if I could do that?
he has a leg injury, and it might be from his spurs. I dont want to stress him out.
 
Do you have access to a veterinarian that specializes in birds? In our area, it would have cost me $50 for my roo to be put under or "gassed" and the vet would have twisted his spurs off and shaved the bone underneath. My beautiful roo decided to attack my six year old before I had it done so I can't comment on the results, but it may be an option for you.
