I know exactly how you feel. I have a little spraddle leg at home that will go to heaven tonight and I can't stand it. I think of your situation when I see him. It rips my heart out. Also out of 15 eggs I have 7 chicks but two with leg problems and two died. I think next time I'll try to put eggs under a hen, it's sooo stressful!
