Hatch-a-long starting 29th of November

You know im ready, since im the one getting eggs lmao..

I have some in the incubator now, I think 10 or so, they are due to hatch around the 4th of December I think but when I set the eggs from you I will be setting even more of mine lol, I have hatching fever

Man i would love to get in on this hatchalong . only thing is i got 60 in the homemade hatcher due to start hatching tomorrow and got 90 in the homemade bator thats due to go in hatcher next monday. got about 40 in the brooder now but i will try and get some eggs and get in the game.. got a buddy giving me all the eggs i want so i can probably get more for the 29th

Ok im in for the hatchalong..got 144 eggs today so will set them in the bator on the 29th. so im with you bfrancis . i just hope you need some cots as it looks like i may be overrun with the little buggers before long..lol

i don't think i'll be able to join in on this one, i have a problem right now where i'm almost out of food, so i had to mix in finch seed and mealworms to bulk it out, birds freaked out and stopped laying eggs. probably will take a week or so to get them back on track.

I have some in my incubator that are due to hatch the 1st-4th and I will be dropping more in from Bill when I get them, probably be tomorrow when I get them so I will let them set till the 29th and drop them in the bator

The ones I have now I have checked a few of and they are fertile so hopefully I will have a bunch of lil babies soon. The eggs I am getting from Bill are different Coturnix than I have so I will be getting more color in my collection.

I am considering borrowing my uncles sportsman incubator and ordering 1000 quail eggs after I get my bigger brooder and grow out pens done, I have a ton of people around me that are interested in buying them for food so I might have a nice lil business out of this afterall

Looking forward to setting eggs tomorrow, haven't counted but should have around 75. It's exciting to see so many people getting in on this!

Six shooter...we might have to talk colors and quail...heck, I'll have to go down to check out your operation

On another note...sent Mochicken eggs via my sister who was visiting during the holidays...and I think that she is going to start raising quail too.

I got a call from Bfrancis's sister today and she has my eggs and I will be picking them up today, its a small world lol. He is clear south but he has a sister in Amazonia Missouri which is about 20 minutes from me so his sister is kind enough to bring the eggs back for me and I will be picking them up, so much better than shipping them in these cold temps

My next goal is after I get these hatched I want to get some more "new blood" by ordering from quaillady I want to get several different color patterns of Coturnix, I love the look of the goldens and tux which I hope to hatch from Bills eggs, now I have to dig through quailladies collection of birds and decide what eggs I want from her to get even more pretty birdies lol.

I have a great plan for a quail setup that I am going to build that will house between 800-1000 quail if I ever wanted that many but I am putting removable dividers in the cage setups so I can either have big colonies or smaller breeding setups at the same time, half dirt and half elevated. On the back side of that I will be starting a small "rabbitry" where I will have a few lionhead rabbits that my son wants to raise, breed them and sell the babies for profits to pay for food I will have my 12 acre country yard filled with critters before I know it lol
