Lollies? (Candy)Yep. Here in the U.S. we call them flashlights. Is there anything else that you call different than us that you notice?
US has lollipops (hard candy on a stick, also called a sucker)Lollies? (Candy)
Yep! Not for candy canes though. Yeah, we called them lollipops too.US has lollipops (hard candy on a stick, also called a sucker)
Do you use lollies for all kinds of candy? (hard, soft, chewy, chocolate, fruit flavors, etc)
One of the reasons I love this international community! When my brother was in Australia for a semester, everyone kept asking him what he called certain things!I think the eggs are alive!!!! They live!!! I candled Egg Q today -because I'm impatient- and I think I saw veins!!! The only problem was, my good torch (Flashlight? Is that what you called them?) my good torch that I use for candling is flat and I can't find the charger, I had to use a dodgy light. But, I reckon, by day 7, there will be development!!
Thongs? (Flip-flops???) The shoes.Yep. Here in the U.S. we call them flashlights. Is there anything else that you call different than us that you notice?
Thongs are something totally different here. We wear flip flops, sandals, heels, sneakers or tennis shoes.Thongs? (Flip-flops???) The shoes.
