My silkies are laying under my milk room.... Which no one can get to even with a rake or something similar...

I have 2 dozen I’m setting sometime this week! Plus 2 eggs that were suppose to hatch yesterday, and another 2 dozen supposed to hatch March 21-23 (I FORGOT TO MARK MY CALENDER!! It should be in this time)
I have two little chicks in my Rubbermaid tub in my hatching room (a glorified “man-Cave/Gun room/Egg hatching/incubating and chick raising) They are adorable! I never mess with them their first week, letting them get settled and used to temperatures, so it’s agony waiting! Here’s a pic of them. They are Modern Game Bantams.
The lighter one is a silver blue, 1 day old, the other a birchen, hatched this morning.

There are some kinds of poultry I am not allowed to have. Either due to permits needed, space needed or the fact that pretty does not feed us or pay the bills. LOL As long as I can get food or money from it the husband lets me hatch it

I've never done shipped eggs before, we have a really careless postal service so id be terrified of trusting them with eggs lol! If you hide the chicks your husband will never know how many you have !

this is a test to see how hard they are down here.

I have way to many cats... All sweet an cuddly...only they are supposed to be barn cats. They discover the dog door and the wood stove and it's bye bye barn hello luxury..
