HATCH ALERT !!!!!! Alice's Birthday Party - WE GOT BABIES !!

It's turning sunny and warming up so we opened Alice's screen door so she could have some view, here is another baby, "he" kept moving around so the photo is a tad blurry....

I'm sorry about your iguana. I used to have a 6 footer male that I raised from a baby. His name was Gweedo. He died at 10 years of age. I was devastated.

But guess what?! Rbamterry has an iguana she's trying to rehome!

I've already lifted my brows about that but DH says absolutely not.

The chicks are adorable!! Congratulations~ Now that I have fertile eggs, none of my hens are offering up any broodyness.

Momentary hijack...

That's our problem. Gweedo was set up in the back entryway of our house and that has since been refurbished completely with bookcases full of my cookbooks and plants. There's no other place in the house that the chickens haven't already taken over.

OK PEOPLE !! We were so nervous that we picked up Alice ("to remove the shells") and we are FOUR FOR FOUR !!!! YES !!

We got a lot of photos, one of these little critters is a real ham, and is ever so photogenic. So we have two yellow and black, one all yellow with a brown stripe down it's back and one that is a blue/grey and yellow (the wife thinks was the last one to hatch...

Everyone is healthy and eating and Alice is just glowing...
