Hatch along 2015

Just a heads up for anyone wanting to use Zoogen for DNA testing for their emus!!
This is the emailed I received:
As part of this transition we have had to change some of our submission policies and one of them is we no longer accept samples from animal owners directly do to federal regulations. However, if you have a veterinarian or licensed breeder you work with, they can submit the samples to us either from a small blood draw of the egg membrane of the hatched emus. Please feel free to have a licensed avian veterinarian or breeder call us at the number below so I can facilitate your samples being tested.

Ok I do not think they are losing enough. I am at 96% in a digital GQF cabinet and about 26% humidity. and this is 15 days after I set them.

Hey guys I am getting an emu chick now but little sister got into the incubator and dropped the egg but it was already internally pipped and I want to know if it will still hatch the white membrane layer is fully intact except for where the internat pip is. The whole top half of the eggshell is missing? will it have a chance? the chick is breathing and peeping back to my calls.

Ohhh so sorry, I really feel for you. just keep in warm and damp, as membrane gets very hard, like leather., and won't be able to peck, moisten membrane gently with your finger with tepid water and chat to it.
Good luck, and let us know how you get on.

Yes, My emu got all the way out last night and now the lid under his exterior eye lid is like stuck in one position and not moving back all the way like normal is this normal? for emus at least. Can this be fixed? Will have pix up within the hour.
