Hatch Along 4th of March?

I am not very familar with the dry incubation method. Not sure how low is to low.

Well I got 2 hatch alongs now... my chicken gone broody and i put 5 eggs under her and she accepted them :) so hopefuly if they hatch it be the 6th :)

It is homemade, I can tilt the tray or the whole bater to turn the eggs. The straw out the side is to add water, but my humidity has been steady at 40% since I turned it on so no water needed yet :)

How many people cleaned thier eggs before they set them? A couple of years ago, the eggs I got were pretty clean so I did not clean them. The eggs I got this year were kinda dirty, but I was afraid to clean them. We will see how it works out.

I didn't clean mine and they have some poop and such on them. I figured that a hen doesn't clean her eggs, why should I?

Well I could not wait till day seven so I took a peek at a couple eggs tonite when I turned them. Most showed development, but it was hard to see much in the RIR eggs. I could see viens in the white eggs but not much in the brown eggs. Any ideas? Probably gonna have to wait till week two to see if the egg darkens up.
