Hatch-Along - Eggs set in November, due December, anyone?

How come nobody likes the hovabators? They've got to be better than this crummy lg I'm using. I'm considering buying the Genesis buut if it's no good maybe i won't....

I dunno, I was going to buy one. This is the first time I've heard anything negative. It may be an older model??

chicknlove, When you said: "21 days didn't seem like a long time, until I set my eggs." I COULDN'T AGREE MORE!!!! All this waiting stinks!

rgvchicks, They are sooooo cute!!

Candyman: I am crossing my fingers for your chicks, but I think they will be fine. :3

We set eggs on the evening of Nov 16.
The eggs went into lockdown yesterday and we are getting so excited! My homeschooled kids and I have loved the whole process and have read and watched everything we can get our hands on. The hardest part for me was resisting candling all of the time when my kiddos weren't watching because they knew it wasn't a good idea and for some reason were born with the gift of patience.
I'm hoping that participating in this thread will help get me through the next 3 days and my lack of patience. My 14 yr old son really enjoys candling while my 10 yr old daughter thinks it is scary because of how dark it has to be. Silly girl.
The eggtopsy is also a favorite for them. So much to learn.

Right now is day 19 and no wiggling or peeping at all yet.
I made myself a list of things to do to keep myself busy.......but ......but......I just keep checking and staring :D

Lol cyndiloowho. "I just keep checking and staring" sounds like something I would do.

Look up videos of chicks hatching on Youtube to satisfy the urge to go and candle them or to stare at them for hours. They are most likely not to hatch for two more days. Haha! That should be a new slogan for BYC: "Calm down and watch baby chicks hatch." XDD Anyway, good luck with the hatching, and don't forget to post pictures when they hatch! :)
