Hatch-Along - Eggs set in November, due December, anyone?

We have a tropical depression hanging over us. Its 815 am and 80F 96% humidity. Inside the bators its 55. So much for dry hatch. Lol.
Internet is really slow this morning. I cant see any of OGMs pics of my former chicks but I am site they are cute. I will probably go to the town 20km away today. I am making a 6ft diameter brooder out of flat galvanized metal sheeting. It will be in a concrete floored out building. With a coconut plantation comes a lot of rats ( small ones thank God) so the metal will stop the little buggars trying to get in.
I have ordered 200 lengths of bamboo about 1.5 inches in diameter to make the walls of the coop. They are 3 cents each. I need 200 lengths of nipa thatching for the roof. They are 8 cents. The floor will be thicker bamboo slate from some big construction bamboo I have lying around. The posts for their run are teak that a friend of mine with a tree plantation needs to thin out.
Its a different world here.
I wish it was naturally that humid here. I think outside (in my room) it is 20% humidity.

Wow OGM they are growing. The papa too is a RIR and one or two of the manas so you should have a couple of pure needs in the mix. .

I can see wiggling peeps in all but 5 of the eggs you donated to "getting the flock out of here ". My wife, kids nannies, gardener and maid were in awe of your eggs coming to life last night.

In between egg watching we are preparing about 2500lbs of dried copra (coconut meat) to take to the mill in the trailer we built last week. The income fromtjat is split with my maid and gardener couple. Our share of the profit pays the property taxes and their sal"aries.

One of my goals with the chickens is to give them a small extra income to incentivize them into looking after the poultry properly. Fresh eating eggs sell for 12 cents each here so they should make a few bucks. An extra 30 bucks a month is huge to a local. My earnings will go to feed.

50kg of feed is around 25 dollars. Cracked corn is 22. Oyster shells free!

The "mutts" will free range after 3-4 months. I will build a 1000sq ft area attached to the coop runs for the pure needs to get out into.

Excuse my typos. Its hard to edit on a phone.

My thread is up to date. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...diary-of-a-crazy-chicken-man/10#post_10202303

katsdar your chicks look great... and a lot bigger then mine, and yours are half the age of mine LoL.... very cute and about the bedding, I put shaving in the brooder since day 1.
Be sure to use Pine shavings as Cedar shavings are known to have cause respiratory problems to pets/birds.

ozexpat very nice plans... you are creating a paradise resort for your chooks
