Hatch-along (for around September 1st)

I now have a second broody due about a week after broody 1 (she's also a silkie) who is sitting on 6 brown eggs, I ended up with a broken silkie egg under her yesterday.

First broody is down to 2 eggs, both silkie eggs, I don't know what happened to the others, but one of my columbian rocks keeps sitting on her nest to lay her egg, because that is when mama goes to stretch her legs

I've got four early ones that decided to start hatching the day after lockdown. RSL's (Cinnamon Queens) and thus far hatched is girl, girl, boy, and one zipping as I type. The other 12 eggs I think are just hanging out as hatching (Day 21) is at midnight tonight.

I have three wheaten Americaunas hatch. One has a curled up foot and can't stand though :-( I'm making a little chick sandle now. None of the orp eggs I bought even started. I think they weren't even fertile :-/ ah well... I guess it happens... what a pain. Won't be ordering from that guy again.

Cinnamon Queens = 3 girls, 1 boy. The three remaining have pipped.

Welsummers = 1 boy. Four just hanging out.

Olive Eggers = 1 pip, 3 just lollygagging in their little carton cups.

Hatching Day officially starts at midnight tonight, so if the law of averages is correct I'll have some late after, too.

Congrats on the wheaten am hatch! I think those hens are so pretty....just very feminine looking.
