Hatch-Along - Hatching Day MARCH 25 (first time using incubator) ANYONE ELSE?

I have a picture if anyone is interested. Day 12 it was a mini chick with a beak and legs. I still have 19 good eggs in the incubator. My rooster was a stud :)

I reread my post so I m going to clarify something's that didn t come out right. First bit people hatching chicken and duck together up humidity to 80% when they start hatching. I put hatch.
Secondly I meant I would be afraid of drowning the chicks from chicken eggs by upping the humidity to 80 %.
Okay I feel better now... LOL
I have no previous experience w ducks or turkey eggs... this would be my first time and they have not actually layed yet. I hope soon... I will do a trial w/ 2 or 3 eggs of each. Yes your info makes sense

that even happens to mommy hens when accidentally eggs roll over their nests or an egg pecker comes inside a nest.

I could not open the egg I discarded yesterday... it grosses me out. Sorry I can't help it.
I deal w/ everything else in my farm (all the nasty stuff)... but have not been able to open an egg w/ a dead embryo nor dispose of my cat's gifts on my door (lizards, rats, birds etc...) Hubby does that...

And I would love to show my kids!!!

I dropped one this morning trying to rotate them :( But the good thing is, I decided to look at the yolk to see if it was fertile (its been a week since my ladies have been with a male) and it was :D But still sucked. I threw in an egg that was freshly laid this morning to keep the dozen I have in the incubator.
