Hatch-Along - Setting egg's Feb 18th, anyone else?

going into day 18 for me lock down filled the water channels and 15 of the 18 eggs seem to be developing fine. as for my broody hen shes lost interest in 4 out of 11 eggs and on day ten of her sitting.

I brought my 'bator home today instead of tomorrow. I have to work tomorrow, and it would have been impossible for me to get it from the school. The egg seem to have fared well on their five minute drive home.
I am concerned over the temperature. It's been staying pretty steady at 100. I removed the digital from the water wiggler when I set the eggs. I just put it back in, and it's reading 102 while the analog is reading 100 :/ I'm calibrating the digital in ice water now, and I'll do the analog later. I hope I haven't been incubating at 102 this whole time!!

I'be been havin issues myself... My temps had been holding steady (after that early on spike) but I ordered a new incukit from incubator warehouse and a replacement wafer got a new box built and insulated installed the incukit got it settled, moved eggs to it. Replaced the wafer and have it ready for lockdown this Sunday/Monday. I did have 4 that didn't do anything from my hens (they were higher in the bator and might have fried before thy got started) yesterday I finally removed the two high dollar silkie eggs that had been clear ... Boy was that hard. The ameraucana eggs some are way too hard to see in... Everything else is staying unless it starts to stink.... Cross fingers that we get a good hatch from our sq and bq eggs as well as our personal eggs.

Well, I'm not sure what's going on; but, it looks like I may have lost the majority of mine. Out of 42 set, I'm going to be surprised if I get a 20% hatch. Some were just flat out not fertile - can't blame the incubator on that. Some were early death....I'm fearing that our unstable temps may have been the cause. Some are just too dark for me to tell...and only a few are clearly showing feet/feathers. So...**le sigh**

Sorry to hear that! Wishing you the best with the ones that you have developing.

Thanks! I appreciate the well wishes. I knew this hatch was going to be iffy, given the problems we experienced early on...but, hope springs eternal, eh?

Well, lockdown today. I can't get my humidity high. Go figure.

It got up nice and high into the mid 60s when I test ran it for two weeks. But now, with the eggs in, of course they'll be problems. Gah!!

How frustrating! I've read where people added wet sponges with success, but since I've got 10 days to my first lockdown I haven't tried it personally. Good luck.
