Hatch-Along - Setting eggs this weekend (Jan5/6) WHOS WITH ME!

I'm waiting until I move to get eggs, so patience isn't an issue for me. There is a farm in Corvallis that has runners, so I was probably gonna get two babies from them to start out. If you don't mind me asking: What are your prices when they start laying?
I typically go $2-3 per egg or $8 for a hatchling. My runners are SQ but in a mixed color flock.

Here is the BF with HIS chick "Maxi"

Please ignore my walls. We are in the middle of remodeling so all of the paneling & old wall paper have been stripped in preparation for demolition.

Exciting to hear people are seeing movement. I unfortunately haven't seen anything, but I also just went into lockdown this morning. On another note, I have shipped eggs in my bator and put some under a hen that went broody and today is day 4 I believe, and the eggs in the bator I barely see anything, but I candled her clutch tonight and 3/4 shipped amerucana eggs have definite growth, w veining everywhere! I went ahead and took a couple more from my bator and stuck under her in hopes she will do better and I can get some Marans! Funny thing though, the egg she layed wasn't fertile.

Hope everyone's hatch goes well and can't wait to see pictures!

Awesome. I'm not picky about their colors, but I have been looking for SQ runners. I was also thinking of getting muscovys or Pekins for meat. I really love duck but the runners are going to be for eggs only.

Here he is last night showing off the quail in his pocket

It's a bit blurry but you get the point. He has also already claimed 1 of my chicks as "HIS." My little Brown Red OEGB that hatched last week has now been dubbed "Maxi" (Max for a boy & Maxine for a girl...told him I'm pretty sure it's a girl)
So cute!

Try reesepoultry for Muscovies. I have some ordered from her. She has chocolate pied, lavender pied, blue pied & barred.

We just locked down around 5 pm tonight, 12 hours shy of 21 days. I did it a little early since we had a temp spike and a chicken friend told me they might hatch early. So apparently I am going to stare at the incubator for the next 3+ days....and I have two shakers. #4 is also moving! So relieved my daughter didn't kill them!
