A few more chick pic's.

Cuckoo Maran chick

Ameraucana chick

Columbian Wyandotte x Black sex-link (This chick hatched under our broody hen and was not happy that we took it away from mama)!

Columbian Wyandotte x Speckled Sussex (this one hatched yesterday)!

Dominique chick

Here are a couple of our chicks:

Chick 1: Ameraucana (EE's probably)
Chick 2 : Ameraucana
I really like the way the feathers are coming in on this one. It looks like Wheaten ? guessing... anyway really pretty & great photo!
Thanks for posting all the pics. It helps to see what the diff. breed chicks look like, some of them are not the colors I'd guess to start with.
Wow I hope mine hatch this time...

but what color will these ones end up??? Love the looks of them now!

We go into lockdown tomorrow morning. I am going to candle today. As of now I have 19 going into lockdown and 2 more that were under my broody hen and hadn't hatched yet. Hatching is so much fun. If everything goes right my family is going to be overrun with chicks!

It's starting to get a little out of control over here. We have 9 adolescent chicks in one brooder (4 of which are fully feathered and could go outside, just waiting on the other 5). In another we have Irma Jean and her chicks. Then on Wednesday we are going to have more chicks hatching. I guess the Adolescents will have to move out to the coup by then. We do have a heat lamp out there I just don't think I have enough feeders at this time. I think our chicken math has gone haywire!

I think your chicken math has gone from 'addition' to 'multiplication'!!.. or maybe from 'simple math' to 'advanced geometry'!! (since you are now up to trying to calculate areas instead of just numbers!)

I got 47 new adult birds in the last 2 days. Had to build an "emergency coop" to house all the extras. 4 roos & 43 hens, Barred Rocks, RIR's, 2 Delawares, 1 SLW, Comets, a barred cochin bantam roo, a golden d'Anver roo, a RIR mix roo & a big black roo that we aren't sure of the breed on but he's beautiful.

Put 14 quail in lockdown yesterday, set 6 assorted turkeys yesterday, setting runner ducks, assorted banties & layer mixes from the new flock on Monday. Already have a bator full of assorted banties set a couple days ago & another staggered hatch of assorted LF & a couple banties due on the 28th & 2nd. And more shipped eggs on the way.

Then I have the order of chicks coming from Meyers on the 20th of 170+ assorted chicks. Good thing I got a new brooder along with the adult birds yesterday. 3 ft wide, 5 ft long & 4 1/2 ft high counting the legs. All of the red broilers, the light brahma & the slw pair went down to the basement into it today to make room in the big brooder in the playroom for the rest of the chicks out of the little brooder. I'm down to just over 50 chicks, poults & quail in my brooders right now, but about 122 adult birds (if I counted right) including 8 quail & 12 ducks, until the 13 I sold this week are delivered, picked up, or shipped.
