looking like i'll end up with 26 chicks, a couple of the last ones seem weaker than the others had been. I started out with 48 eggs. had a few clear at 10 days. So l had some where around 54% hatch rate. I'm a little disappointed it wasn't higher than that.
but for the first attempt i'll take it. The first 21 little guys are under the brooder doing really good , the last 5 are gaining strength in the incubator. ---

Sitting here now watching eggs hatch out that i posted on the february hatch a long.
Also have cicks to hatch on March 1st and March 4th. (Down to 1 turkey egg for
March 7th.) Son was real dissappointed that they did not develope. 3 had blood rings and
the other 3 did not do anything.
Candled my marans eggs tonight..Not good at all for me.Had between 60 and 70 in the
incubator and tossed over half of them tonight. All clears. The ones that are developed look as good
as they can I guess.
Good luck everybody hatching and will try and post pictures when they arrive.

Hey Luke,
Just saw your post today. Mine are due to hatch March 5th, so I think that's close enough to join!

This is my first time hatching. I have 12 eggs in the bator. I candled a few last night (day 10). Nope not all and that was because once I got going I realized my light was not strong enough. I have 5 Rhode Island Reds, 5 Plymouth Rocks and 2 Arucana (sp?). So you can see why it was hard to see. I do have two eggs that are a lighter brown and was able to see chicks in both. SO HOPEFULLY THAT MEANS GOOD NEWS FOR THE REST!!! All 12 eggs are from a local farm so I'm pretty sure the eggs are good. No stinky or weepy ones!
Daughter is looking for the camera as she took a picture of the eggs in the bator at about day 4. Will post as soon as she finds it!!

hi
todays update is the same as normal, going in to lockdown on sunday!!!!
i candles yesturday and there was moovement in all eggs, couldent really see anything
i was just waiting for a flinch of some sought and then i knew everything was right.
any other updates????
any questions???
