What happened to the other 3?

Ooops! I forgot.

3 fully developed just didn't absorb their yolk or hatch.

Hey, Kitty! Congrats on your hatch. Mine still has one Delaware that is pipped. I got 9 Orps, but one will most likely not make it. I got 5 Dellies and possibly 6 of 7, although I set 9 and two were quitters early on.
My next round of Orps from Washington has started! One is pipped now. Tomorrow is their Day 21. I'll post pics when I get better ones, but the owner of the Suedelettes may come get them tomorrow, so dont know if I can. I can't even tell her what colors she'll have, LOL. Still too wet on the last three. I know she has blues, maybe a black or two, maybe a splash, but not sure on that. It's a color I've not seen in my own birds, very yellow underfluff and vaguely smoky lavendery blue on top. Probably is blue. Most splashes appear cream colored with smoky areas, not bluish.

Now that I have had time to let the sting go I will respond to this.

They were in a Brower Top Hatch until day 18 when I moved them over to the skillet to hatch as I have other hatches going in the Brower.

So if you don't think much of the skillet let me put it in numbers. 9 into skillet. 6 hatched. 2/3 hatch isn't bad!

Wow, you don't even get time to spoil them first!

I'll be posting pics in the chick section when I get the chance to get them loaded into photobucket and into a thread. When it's done I'll post a link here. It will include their 4 older sibling's updated pics as well.

Well gosh I wasn't criticizing you. I just never heard of a skillet hatch before. So I was amazed that it worked. No stinging intended whatsoever. I know I would cook my poor babies if I tried that, or I'd drop them transferring them or something tragic:rolleyes:.....This was not a put down in any way, shape or form. Sorry you took it that way. I am very happy for your hatch, as I said earlier. They are adorable.

Appology accepted and a sorry back to you. I have had a few threads that I have been jumped on lately and maybe I was overly touchy because of it.
