The egg that pipped earlier is now fully hatched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some pics! This black chick even has a vaulted skull, feathers up to the middle toe, and has no apparent health issues! SOOOO excited! The others should hatch tonight!

Still nothing here. But I set my eggs at like 9:30pm so I really shouldn't expect anything until later on tonight. Knowing my luck it will probably happen while I am asleep.

Mine are due Sunday. I've overly excited. I went out just a second ago and hoped to see them move or at least hear them but nothing. Suri is being a good mom. I can't wait for little babies!

I lost 4 out of 22 so far. the rest have all hatched...... YAY!!!... 2 are kinda worrying me so we will see what happens with them.

Out of 18 eggs so far I have 11 chicks, 2 pips and 5 that I hope will pip.
This is one of my better shipped eggs experience...finally

I hope this isn't a bad omen...I lost another one of the chicks I already had in the brooder today. The only explanation I have is the bedding. My mom and I went out and smelled it and it REEKS!! It smells so horrible! NOT HAPPY that the pet store is selling such junky bedding. So I rushed to the store and bought not only a different TYPE but completely different brand...So far it smells WAY better and less dusty.

I am frustrated!! I have been raising chicks on aspen for YEARS and never had any issues until now....I guess the stuff I have trusted has changed since I last raised chicks (was away at college for two years.)

And I have nothing going on in my bator at all...I hope I come in from cleaning the quail pen to see a pip!!
