Day 29 - 3 Guineas hatched at day 25, still nothing from the remaining Peas, Turkeys and Guineas.

When does everyone give up?

ETA: I candled all the eggs - all duds. Major bummer! Guess I am done with incubating for this season.

I had one just zip and it looked really dryed up. I helped it hatch and it is still a little wobbly. Hope it makes it. I just checked and I have one PIP! There may still be hope!

Good news! One just hatched. So I have 2 really nice chicks(vaulted skull and healthy) and one that only has 4 toes

Nothing here. I've just about given up. Waiting until Monday and then candling. I am too sick to be worrying about it anymore.

Now I guess I need to focus more on getting over this horrible chest cold.

Congrats Joe! I went out at 11:30 and saw some egg shell under my broody. I thought it was a broken egg but I couldn't find a chick. I started freaking out. lol I was like... Did one of the ducks kill and eat it? But then I saw an egg that was cracked and had the shell off, kind of like when you boil an egg. It was really hot to the touch so I just left it be. I really hope all goes well. I'm a little nervous yet a little excited. I don't want to expect too much.

Well I candled today. Neither of my eggs even pipped internally. So I decided to open them up to see what happened. They were under developed. ONE OF THEM WAS A TURKEN! I was so upset. I want a turken so bad and it pains me to know I got SO CLOSE to having one.

Ugh...I feel like a failed parent.

Next time I incubate its going to be under a broody.
