Hatch date of April 17th! Anybody with me?

I hear chirping!!!! No pips or anything yet....but chirping is a good sign!!! I'm on day 23 this morning and hope I have babies soon.

OMG! OMG!!! I just got up to go get another cup of coffee and had to look again!! I GOT A PIP!!!!!!!!!

Okay here is my only chick so far! I believe it's a Rhode Island Red. I have another egg zipped, 1 pipped and chirping in another. We used a homemade incubator, it's a box, a bowl of water and a heat lamp.

I have another pip!!! That's 2 now!!!

I can hardly wait to see them!! I am so excited I have been trying to get my house cleaned and laundry done all morning....but it sure is hard to keep away from the incubator. CONGRATS to those of you with the new chicks. I love seeing all the pics and can't wait to post some of my little ones.
