Hatch day! Quitters?

So it appears 2 eggs were more porous than the rest and the chicks were shrink wrapped before they could pip internally. The other quit earlier on the air cell was smaller and upon eggtopsy. The liquid inside of the egg was dark and cloudy, which I believe is indicative of bacterial infection? There was no bleeding so it appears they had absorbed the majority of the blood from the eggs vasculature.

I forgot to take a pic of this guy shrinkwapped before I bagged and opened it further, but it was shrunk like the first pic.

The 2nd one definitely looks like it started to decompose. Did it smell bad? The first one looks totally normal to me. The last one looks pretty dried out. Did any of them make it? I'm SO sorry. How's the one that you said had moved?

The one that I thought had moved had all of the decomposition in it. It was probably particulate of the decomposition that moved when I was turning it. None made it and were completely lifeless when opened. No peeping, no movement, no spontaneous respiration or movement even.

I wanted to take days off for pre hatch day and hatch day. I feel like if I had been able to I'd have had a better result. 50% is unacceptable to me. I couldn't have the day off because of the pandemic were experiencing right now. The boss has suspended time off and vacation until further notice. I placed an order for a dozen Opal Legbar hatching eggs that hopefully will be able to be shipped next month. I'll be putting in for time off early if they reinstate our time off requests or vacation. Thanks for all the help guys.

Oh, that makes sense. You at least got 50% though right? The whole virus thing is such a pain. Opal Legbars sound awesome, I hope you get great hatch rates on them! Fingers crossed!
