Hatch Disaster!

last night while I slept apparently my cat attacked the incubator and unplugged it. Now I have newborn chicks in my bra trying to revive them while the incubator warms up. I will be lucky to save 3. I am so upset. It's the middle of the hatch for god sake. I just hope I can save a few

Okay, the three newborns are dry and safe. Operation save the chicks is going well. However I can't know anything for the 2 other eggs that were in the middle of hatching. One was pipped so I did nothing and the other was still tapping at the shell so I opened a tiny rescue hole in the air cell. Ordinarily I wouldn't but they are week from the cold so I think it's fair. Anyway, now I will just have to wait and see over the next couple of days. Nothing else I can do.

It's been a long day and a rough hatch but in spite of the crazy problems 7 out of 9 eggs have survived! 5 are out right now and the other 2 are hatching! I can't believe it!
