[Quack me up]

This is my first time hatching ducks. I am on day 27 and all of them have pipped. One began to unzip and a couple hours after I noticed a yellow membrane under the shell. I read that this meant it was dry so I peeled back some shell and wet the membrane. I covered it in a wet paper towel. Shortly after I took it back out because I was worried and peeled back a tiny bit more shell. I saw that the inner membrane was almost laying on the duck but it wasn't stuck. The problem is I can't see enough in the hole that I made to see if it needs help. I would peel back more but I don't want to reach veins and kill it as it is my first duck. It seems active and is peeping a lot but it hasn't turned in it's shell so I am worried it's stuck. Please help

Yes it's been about 26 or more hours since it pipped

My temp right now is 100 but it spiked to 103 a little while ago... my humidity is 83%

Update: I took it out for a little bit to look I can see its beak and it is surrounded by what looks like it's stomach... I chipped away a little more and saw veins so I stopped and put it back... how long should I wait before checking it again

Let me get help. @BantyChooks I think your fine as long as the temp gets no higher and cools back down a little. Is there condensation on the windows of the bator?

Yes, don't let it get above 102.

Wait a while longer. Is it making a yawning motion with its bill? Ducks take much longer than chickens, so as long as it can breathe, it's best to just sit on your hands.

No it isn't but it is peeping a lot
