Yea i've been keeping my eye on her ...so far she's doing ok.. she's so cute though when she walks and bobs her head..lol

but i know she hasn't started to eat yet neither has the other 3 that hatch yesterday when she did.. i guess there still feeding off there yolk

Yep, they feed off of the yolk sacks for 2-4 days. Thats why we didnt notice ours was blind. It was the non stop peeping at all hours of the day and night that was our first clue something was wrong.
We always provide food and water as soon as we move them into the brooder though.

BirdBoy88 - Are you sure there isn't more than just eyes inside of the little chicks head? It looks bigger than that to me. luvmychickenkids posted a question several months ago about a chick with a swollen head and thought it might be hydrocephalic. dlhunicorn posted a reply with a suggestion involving vitamine E, polyvisol enfamil, and wheatgerm oil (the oil, not just germ), that seemed to help.

luvmychickenkids - do you remember that? Is the little chick still OK? what do you think?

Bandana, yes, I remember it. The chickie is doing great with no lasting effects....almost a big girl enough to lay eggs now. It only took about a week for her to be normal.

I know it probably seems strange I didn't mention her in this thread, but I did mention her to him in a PM
