HATCH IS DONE! PLZ READ PAGE 62 =)

Oh i would so take your blind chick, I could take care of it. Just like a blind dog. I know this lady too that could care for it if i couldn't.

If the chick is strong and full of life like you say, and PEEPS well, then I would give it a chance.

I have a few Polish chickens, a couple, well one in particularly has so many feathers in her face that she cant see a thing, she peeps alot, gets lost, runs into things, but manages fine.

Its quite cute to watch sometimes.
And I'll peep back to her if the other chickens aren't to help her find her way.
I suppose the hardest thing would be teaching her how to find food and water. But once she's got that down she can follow the peeps around to find her way.

Oh i'm not going to cull her

just to put that out there

i figured i will give her a chance and anyways i have a blind zebra finch hen that i take care of so it will just be something to add on my list

I had to put the NN and frizzle chick on another brooder cuz they kept pecking the newbies and the NN chick she act like everything around her is scary and ugly she will peck something then run like EWW i have to get away from it and i'm like hello have you seen yourself? LOL but she's just a cutie ...a brat.. but cute non the less Lol

the NN temporary name that my mom came up with is *Diva* LOL

So Diva is basically being a Diva

The frizzle name is Tippy cuz she walks so lightly

I know she is going to have so much fun with her little balls of Silkie love.

How long do you have before she takes them home? I always make my mom take hers as soon as they hatch so I don't get attached to them. And sometimes I still do!!!!

LOL...I typed this post and just left the room. Never even hit send!!! OOPSY!!!

Sorry to hear about your little blind silkie Mark. The ballbus head doesn't look too bad. We have had a silkie chick with a large knot just like that who is doing just fine.
Dont know about the eyes though. We had a blue orpington baby a month or so ago that was born blind, it took us a few days to realize it couldn't see. The poor thing kept getting lost in the brooder and couldn't find the food or water. Keep a close watch on it.
