****UPDATE****

I just put in Tori's eggs and Charlie's eggs..

4 eggs of Tori's went in the hatcher they are 2 *test* " R " eggs and the cracked egg that was dipped in wax and a silkie egg

3 buff silkie eggs from Charlie went in the hatcher as well

The temp is steady at 99.5 but the humidity is being wonky.. it was at 65% then went down to 60% now it's at 63%

it's worrying me a bit but i'll do what you said Tori and leave it alone.. i'm sure it will go up once they start to hatch

you don't no how bad i want to do the same... i think mine are going to be doing something soon though.. the main thermometer says 99.5 but the thermometer thats next to the eggs went up 2 degrees so i think by that happening it's heating up from the chicks moving alot???? i hope thats why lol

I'm on day 19/20 today too and I'm glad to hear no one else is pipping yet, either because it's driving me crazy seeing nothing! I'm totally obsessed about this hatch because I had three tries this spring with no luck at all, and out of my original 34 eggs (two shippers) I have 11 eggs left int he bator, and I think probably four or five aren't really viable anymore. I'm about ready to toss the bator out the window and call Ideal instead.

OK, so I'll have to call Ideal anyway, because my new coop (that we still haven't finished building) is way too big for six or eight bantams to heat during the winter. Isn't it terrible when you have too much space and have to add more birds. lol

My bator currently contains 2 Mille Fluer eggs out of 9 shipped, 6 silkie eggs out of 10, 3 Cochin eggs out of 15. When I candled at day seven I had 7 MF, 9 Silkie and 2 cochin--the box the cochin eggs came in was totally thrashed even though none of the eggs were broken.

This is just not right!!! I even went out and mowed and still nothing!!!! Give me that hammer Mark!! I will find it anyway!!!! LOL

That is really a shame HeatherJ, that you have to buy more chickies. I feel for you!!!

Mark, that's great! I still can't believe that the refrigerated eggs AND the cracked egg are growing!! LOL! And of course the last egg was a silkie egg... that's all I sent you on the first shipment!

Two more days... I can't wait to see them!
