whats dry incubating?

isn't that when you don't add water?

Yeah, during the first part...you add it before they are shut down to hatch, of course, to get it good and high. Any time I have added water (ANY water) in the beginning my humidity goes too high.

ohhh ok cuz i never knew what that was ...

yea i just had to lower my humidity.. when i check about 15mins ago it was 81% but now i got it down to 69%

the 2 silkies are resting? i think they haven't pip more yet

:aww I'm so sorry for the ones that didn't make it...

You have to wonder that something was seriously wrong for them not to make it, especially when they actually hatch and then die. I can't wait to see the photos of the ones that did make it...

Ya know, she acted really weak throughout the entire hatch. Tired. Not that hyper hatching chick thing you normally have. If she had some outward sign it would be so helpful...the fact that she looked perfect made it even harder. I may go take a quick cell phone pic of the two that are dry and fluffed. They really are cuties!!!

***UPDATE****

the buff silkie has zip a little more out i can see her beak and eyes

she's golden brown like toast YUM!

the wax egg has pip a little more but taking another break ..she's going for it though

oh and i enter my NN pics in the POW LOL just to see what will happen
