Hatch is finished! **PICS on page 12!**

Oh, that's not good. Fingers crossed for the 10 that are left.

I can hear someone in my bunch has internally pipped. BUT I'm using the LG bottom that has leaky troughs. I usually line it with plastic wrap when I use it, but I forgot this morning --- doh! I guess I'll move them all to the other bottom and hope everything isn't squirreled.

Good luck!

No, it really isn't good. At least I have 7 of MissPrissy's BBS eggs left.

Good luck to you on your hatch! I hope everything comes out okay.

Thank you Sara! I'm hoping they all hatch too.

This whole thing has had me a little nervous, because this is the first time I've hatched any eggs since I had Coryza hit my flock this past summer. At that point, everything seemed to be going wrong. My flock got sick and my hatch was horrible! The horrible hatch was probably a blessing really, because I had to find a "safe" place for the chicks that hatched to go, but it was discouraging. That hatch I only got 10 chicks out of 42 eggs. This hatch seems to be going better than that so far and circumstances surrounding my flock are definitely much better, thank heavens!

Anyways, thanks for the good luck!

I was sitting down working on taxes this morning and heard peeping noises. I thought to myself, "Boy! Those birds outside sure are being noisy today!" Then I realized that the peeping noises were coming from the bator! I ran to the bator and found an egg that was half zipped and 7 others are pipped! HOORAY! These are Acre of Blessings eggs that are hatching. None of my BBS Orp. eggs or my Welsummer eggs have started yet. It is only day 17, so I wasn't expecting any this early anyways.

Anyhow, the hatch has started!
