its day 23 for my frizzle cochins. candled them, one chick is still moving inside. how long to i wait before tossing eggs or helping them??

I never help, not after I "helped" a couple from my Spring hatch and it was obvious they didn't need to be born, one has a crossed beak so bad he walks sideways, and the other has a crooked rear end and a sideways tail. They are my pitiful culls. I don't toss the eggs until it is obvious they have died, I know you have had humidity issues and incubator issues, so give them a chance to be late. Once you hear nothing from inside, and a water test fails, open them to see what went wrong.

LoL no its not dead. Its resting. Its a lot of work to hatch out of an egg. As for getting a black one I am not totally sure. I am not sure what colors I have since there was an white one that came out of a egg labeled partridge.

Just was checking out the babies before they went to their brooder... One has a deformed leg.. Will post pictures when I start moving them to their brooder.
