it should be ok, ive known people have power outs for an hour and the eggs be ok, just dont open the bator unless u have to, it wil still hold heat for a while, keep watching it, temp should stablelize, hope everything goes well, good luck

You know what I have an egg turner and don't even use it. My mom used it but I like checking them and turning them throughout the day. Also since I know I have to turn 3 times then I know I check my water, humidity, and temp at least 3 times a day.

My eggs are peahen eggs and I made a candler w/ a box, bright light and a cut out for the egg. I could only see the outside of the egg itself. Is it just the "cheap" way i did it or are peacocks eggs harder to see? They are creamy, brownish.
Any ideas?
5 EE, 14 GL cochin, 3 peacocks, and 4 peachicks. Hopefully fertile peacock eggs. They are at least 6 to 8 days.

I candled mine tonight.. Just wanted to see if I can see a change. I only did 4 of the eggs and noticed that there is a blob in there that wasn't there before. All 4 were like that. The waiting game sucks!

I candled 2 of mine last night (only day 3, couldn't wait) and saw a change in one of them so I'm happy, will try another few tonight. Pretty happy with my temps and humidity, temp swings between 99-101 but it did the same for my last hatch and that went well so wont mess with it too much. Good to see the development in the candle photo's, keep them coming!
