Hatch On Dates: Oct-nov? Dont Forget About This Post!!!

mine dipped down for a day to that temp.. mine hatched on day 20 and 21.. Also my eggs didnt wiggle or anything.. they just pipped and then started wiggling when they started to zip. They will take their sweet ol' time. Mine took about 8+ hour after it pipped before it started zipping..

Temp dropping down for a short time shouldn't hurt them. Broodies get off their eggs for food and water. One of my EE girls had taken one of my broodies eggs out of her nest and knocked it out of the coop two weeks ago. I was worried about it as it wasn't really warm and had that rough handling. I stuck it back under the broodie. It hatched a healthy chick a week later.

This is my (and the broodys) first ever hatch too so I'm nervous at the same time!!! I want to go sleep in the coop so I don't miss any of the 'action'

I know the feeling the ones that hatched out last Friday/Saturday was my first hatch ever and talk about being a nervous wreck... I fell asleep beside my incubator. I have it sitting in the floor.. I was watching them pip and hatch.. It was AMAZING!

start of day 20 and nothing this is my 4th hatch and they always started on day 19 but i guess these little ones are going to wait to the 21st day hopefully when i get back from work i will have a pip

Two Marans have made an appearance and the other 10 eggs have pipped!!! Hopefully I can convince the kiddo to get his camera out to snap a few pictures soonest.
