Hatch Update!

Here we are on day 30. It started with 35 eggs from different people I collected on the road with my job. 32 made it to the hatcher. I now have 22 poults in the brooder eating and drinking well. If you look close you can find the 2 keets and a duck that hatched with them. I have 1 more in the bator that is just about hatched. I had 3 give up and die after pip and 1 die in the bator within 1 hour of hatching. He was small and still had a large cord attached with a big glob at the end. Been pretty happy with my first turkey tatch so far. The ones that hatched Thursday and Friday are getting their wing feathers.

Just in case you are trying to figure out what's in there, I have Easterns, Rio's, RP's, RP X Nar, BR's and BR X Nar.

Keep them dry and warm and make sure they are eating and drinking. Poults have to be taught to eat and drink. I have had fun dipping my finger in their water and then the food. The food sticks to your finger and the poults eat it off!
