hatched 2 duckling

Wait until they dry really well and then put them in a brooder with a heat lamp, water they cannot get soaked in and offer them some greens like lettuce or spinach leaves cut into 1/4 inch pieces...they may or may not eat...they do not need to eat for the first couple of days because like chicks, they absorb the yolk right before they hatch and that gives them nourishment for a couple of days.

Make sure you do not feed them medicated feed. Non-medicated chick starter mixed equally with turkey/wildgame bird starter is a great balanced diet. Give them green everyday and put a little sugar in their water for the first day...then add electrolytes every day and half the strength you would for chicks.

We had 16 eggs hatch over 2 days and did as we weren't supposed to and took them out within a half hour of hatching to put in brooder with heat lamp. We did add and shallow water dish with marbles so they wouldn't fall asleep and drown, and after a day added feed in a small dish. All 16 did just fine. I did see them drink pretty quickly. Also the ones that hatched early would help the others to dry off. It was trully amazing to watch. Congrats on the babies.
