He is thriving? Doing well? Then dont worry abt judgy people. I was a little worried too, bc I had a breeder say "you should've culled it" when I asked if she had ever hatched any like this. I was worried that would be the general consensus. But if Sid is happy and thriving, then I'm good with that. He just needs a little more love and spoiling.

What are some good nutritional boosts for them? Doing nutridrench in water, Mazuri floating duck food, and non medicated organic chick starter with a little grit. I'm new to Call Ducks completely (got my first ones abt 2mos ago) and this is my first incubator hatch for ducks..plenty of chicks tho. My big 3 Calls I bought as babies. (Pic attached)

I had one almost identical to yours. In my case, a broody had been sitting for a couple weeks, then left the eggs. I left them thinking she would go back to them, but she didn’t. I waited a couple days, then I took them inside for a few hours. I didn’t want to incubate them, but I candled and some were alive so I put them in the incubator.

A few needed assisting, including the one with the deformed bill. It came very close to hatching, but died while I was gone to work one day, half out of its shell.

Doing good! He does better with the aquatic pellets if I take them out of water and put on paper towel, and takes him just a little longer than the others, but still doing great.
