I had a young bantam sitting on eggs. Another hen went broody and took over her clutch. I moved the bantam and a few eggs to a different nesting box and this morning, found one of her eggs with most of the shell picked off. I put the chick in my incubator and removed the rest of the shell and membrane. The chick is still alive, I’m guessing it was about a day too soon to hatch. There’s some of the yolk sack still attached to the chick. Has anyone had a chick survive like this or is it best to cull?
