Hatched duck yolk outside and not chirping

Please help. My little guy was shrink wrapped in as I think the home made incubator had issues with the temp/humidity consistency.
I assisted the little guy out As he couldn’t get out on his own and he was moving well gave one chirp and then now he is quiet. His yolk sac wasn’t fully absorbed either. I’m not sure what to do. I read a few different things.

I'm not sure either but he is out now, i would leave him in the incubator until dry.

Best thing to do is leave him in the bator on a soft dry towel until the yolk is absorbed. Don’t touch the yolk either you don’t want to introduce bacteria to it.

The little guy died last night. We are so sad. I think he was stuck inside for too long and then was too weak (he was shrink wrapped pretty badly)
