hatched egg sleeping???

Chicks are fine to stay in the incubator 24+ hours, they absorb the last of the yolk before hatching and can go a day or two in the machine without food or water. It's best not to open the incubator until the other pipped eggs have hatched so they don't dry out inside the shells. Unless of course there is a reason to intervene. Wait until chicks are dry before removing from the incubator. Congratulations on your first baby! :jumpy

Thank you! i opened the incubator for just a minute to get a fly out that would not leave the chick alone, now after like 30 minutes the humidity in the incubator is trying to go above 70. is that okay?
