I'm hatching out Japanese right now and they are so small. When I got the eggs locally the seller told me to make sure I fed boiled egg in addition to chick crumbles. I am doing that, is there anything else I need to know? I want to be a good chick mom.

how about wetting the food a bit and making it mushy, but not too wet, mine loved that when they were little...makes it a bit easier to digest.

With those super tiny chicks (Seramas, etc) be sure they cannot drown in the water dish. I put marbles in the dish part of my chick waterer for extra insurance. They just stick their beaks between the marbles, and drinking is no problem. Seems so unlikely that it could happen but I have heard sad stories and didn't want to risk my Serama babies.

I have one of those very small chick waterers, I can't even stick my finger in it. So I think that it's ok
