Well, I opted to open the bator and remove the two quail. I had my faithful helper (aka my daughter) by my side to hold the lid while I snatched them up and made the transition. I only lost a degree for 30 min or so in the bator, and I took the oportunity to re-soak the sponges, so I think it will work out OK. Here are some shots of the babies in thier new environment...too bad this camera is just on loan...I really like sharing these photos!
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
