I dont want to discourage you, but I hatched a ton of valley quail from my breeders earlier this year, and only a handful survived for any length of time.
Make sure they do not stand in their own waste in the brooders, make sure they are kept warm, and make sure you dont startle them often because I think the stress kills the young chicks.
They are very nervous bird, and it does not go away with exposure to you, that makes it worse.
They shouldnt stay in the brooder longer than 24hrs, they need food and water fairly quickly after hatching, like within 24hrs.
I had great luck hatching valley quail, but keeping the babies alive past 2-3 weeks was a completely different story.
I will say, they do alot better on the ground than in a cage . . .

Valley quail are awsome.
Future advice- make sure you always keep at least 1 male in your recall trap, he will keep ALL the others hanging around.
