Hatcheries in Rhode Island and or Massachusetts

Hello! I'm looking to buy chicks in RI or MA. We have Tractor Supplies but if I can find an independent hatchery that would be awesome! Don't really have a particular breed in mind maybe something heritage. This will be my first flock.

Hi there! I live in CT and researched the same question. Lots of local feed stores have "chick days" in the early spring. See what's nearby and ask. Most are taking orders now or very soon for the spring.

I got my pullets (also first flock) from Sugar Feather Farm in Vermont. I drove up and back in a day. I highly recommend them. They can provide eggs, chicks, or pullets. Good luck!

Whenever you are ready just reach out. I usually always have something going on. I’ll likely start hatching next month. I am also on the BYC breeders directory.

No problem actually Marans are DP
Actually triple purpose due to the egg color
